The Magpie and the Crow

Crow as the pursuer x magpie as the pursued. Pure animal story, no turning into humans.

They say a crow has fallen for a magpie in the neighboring woods.

A few of his younger brothers approached him privately to ask. "Isn't that kind of... bad?"

"But that's a magpie..."

"What's wrong with magpies?" the crow asked in confusion.

"They're bullies among birds. They tease cats and dogs, hold grudges, and love ganging up on others." His younger brothers advised him cautiously. "Maybe you should think it over?"

The crow gave a cold laugh and flapped a wing at each of them over the head.

What a joke. As if crows had such a good reputation themselves.
