The Last Human

Bad ending, tragedy, and heartbreak. Readers who can't handle angst, proceed with caution.

Centuries after a disaster that nearly wiped out humanity, the artificial intelligence Noah discovers a baby awakening from cryogenic sleep.

A relic from the previous stellar era, the only surviving human: Adrian.

Adrian once believed that a person's birth and death meant nothing to this planet.

He said, “The planets revolve around the stars, the tides rise and fall, and the sun will still rise tomorrow...”

And Noah would keep running according to its programmed routines, just as it had for so many years.

But...

“Adrian, the sun will never rise again.”
