The Koi Spirit Becomes a Sensation in Showbiz

As a koi spirit, Li Ran was born with a luck buff. Her luck was off the charts, and she never lost a raffle. People who treated her well would generally receive gifts in return. By the same token, anyone who did her harm would have a run of bad luck.

Perhaps to be fair to everyone, whenever Li Ran did something bad herself, she would suffer bad luck too.

After graduation, she unexpectedly joined a talent show. Li Ran insisted that everything was under her control.

What do you do if someone tries to exploit you? Ask Li Ran!

What do you do if you're bullied on the show? Ask Li Ran!

What do you do if someone makes snide remarks? Ask Li Ran!

What do you do if you're harassed...

What do you do if a puppy goes missing...

Show staff: ...Who's actually in charge of this show?

Audience: ...

After she entered the entertainment industry, her fellow celebrities were already eager to teach her a lesson. But then the tables turned.

Someone paid to spread damaging stories about her, and the next day, their own scandals were exposed. They rushed to hire PR firms to silence people, delete posts, and take down trending topics.

Someone spread rumors that she had a sugar daddy, and the next day, pictures came out of them kissing their beer-bellied, fatherly sugar daddy.

She appeared on a variety show, where the production team targeted her and maliciously edited the footage. A week later, the show was taken off the air by higher-ups after one scandal after another broke.

By now, everyone in the entertainment industry was trembling with fear.

What else could they say?

Even the fans were confused. Their idol seemed to have some kind of supernatural luck. What could Li Ran possibly be afraid of?

Of course, Li Ran had something to fear.

That would be Ji Hanqing, the great fish-loving monster.

Even a mighty fish couldn't overpower the local dragon.

He was an industry big shot with money and connections.

But...

No matter how powerful the "black forces" were, Li Ran still had one last warning to shout: "People who do bad things will get what's coming to them!"

He chuckled and pulled her into his arms. "You're my comeuppance!"

Theme: Don't commit even the smallest evil.
