The Compatibility of Funeral Science and Interstellar Healing

As a recent graduate in funeral services, An Youling knows the field may not sound respectable, but the career prospects are good, jobs are easy to find, the pay is high, and there isn't much need to deal with people.

Just after signing a contract with a crematorium, An Youling gets into a car accident. When she opens her eyes, she's in the future, in the interstellar era. Her life has been reset, and she's now a freshman waiting to enroll.

In the interstellar era, people awakened supernatural abilities during the Great Cataclysm. An Youling has a rare healing ability, so she's forcibly enrolled in a military academy.

An Youling: ...

What does a healing major have to do with funeral services?

They're worlds apart!

One gives people a chance at life, while the other gives them dignity in death.

So...

To better adapt to the future, An Youling decides to pursue both paths.

At the Interstellar Military Academy League, the organizers want the students to experience the dangers of the outside world and the organizers' heartfelt concern for them. They hastily assemble top students from the upper grades of each academy into a Demon Squad to hunt down the competitors.

The Demon Squad does indeed inflict heavy losses on the students, but then they get crippled at the Empire's Sixth Military Academy. Students from the academy fight back and wipe out half the squad. Everyone assumes that the team ended up in such a state because Gu Heyao went easy on them. After all, as the top student at the Sixth Academy, surely it would be easy for him to take care of his own juniors... right?

The squad members stare in shock at the Sixth Academy students who ambushed them. Gu Heyao is singled out for special treatment, and they show him no mercy. The most striking among them is a petite woman with camouflage smeared across her face. She moves nimbly, every punch landing hard. Her face doesn't distract them from her ferocity. Judging by how hard she's hitting, either they had a grudge in a past life, or she'd just broken up with him in this one.

An Youling grabs him by the collar and says with a faint smile, "Senior Gu, would you prefer to look dignified in life, or dignified in death?"

Gu Heyao's eyes flicker. "What if I'm neither alive nor dead?"

An Youling smiles coldly. "If you're not dead enough to look dignified, I'll help you look dignified!"

Everyone is floored: !

What surprises everyone even more is that this woman is also the top student in the healing department at the Sixth Academy.
