A Record of Luofu's Special Incident Investigations [Honkai: Star Rail / Tabletop RPG]

[Not dead, and won't die. It's just that the plot logic and writer's block are getting in the way.] [I revised the first two chapters, so if you've read them, you can take another look (glances away).] [If it's locked, that just means I haven't finished revising it...]

What do you do when you're locked in a tiny dark room you can't escape, no matter what?

Yanqing: Well, that's a bit unlucky.

The good news: He'd just gone to buy a sword today, so at least he wasn't unarmed.

The bad news: He, a dignified Cloud Knight Lieutenant, couldn't even chop this door down, and there were ordinary civilians behind him.

Just as Yanqing was at his wit's end, a die appeared beside him, and an electronic voice of indeterminate gender sounded in his ear.

[.log new ■■]

[Welcome to ■■, brave ■■ members. Please roll ■ to ■■■ mist.]

[We wish you luck.]

[As all players in this session are minors, minor protection has been enabled.]

[Hint: Maybe try rolling the die? ^-^]

Yanqing, the minor: ?

He looked at the two ordinary civilians, who were minors too, and fell silent for a moment.

If you know we're minors, then don't recruit us, for crying out loud!

What kind of thing is this, anyway? A heliobus? Can heliobi do this?

I'm not a judge from the Ten-Lords Commission. Don't try to scare me.jpg

After solving one problem after another, Yanqing found that the mysterious [log new] seemed to be leading him toward a story from decades ago. It involved the past conspiracies hidden in an abandoned mansion and the dangers lurking in Exalting Sanctum's streets.

The Disciples of Sanctus Medicus, the remnants of the Annihilation Gang, the surviving Borisin... The buried truths of the past began to surface, one by one. These were issues that had existed before, but for some reason there seemed to be far more of them lately.

In response, an unknown Trailblazer said: "Maybe the protagonist System has awakened! Do your best, Yanqing! The future of the Luofu is in your hands!"

Yanqing: Huh?

He was more inclined to believe he'd accidentally rolled a 100 and failed spectacularly.

[Please forgive me if I make changes as I improve as a writer TvT]

* Includes tabletop roleplaying. The protagonist is young Yanqing. Other young Luofu characters will join his party, but not all the time. If you don't know tabletop RPGs, just treat it as a local Luofu-style infinite-flow story where he uncovers the truth behind a case from decades ago.

* Uses CoC 7th Edition, with lots of house rules. Some original monsters may be based on official CoC monsters, and I'll note it when they are.

* The mastermind has been changed from Nyarlathotep to our beloved Lord of Exalting Sanctum.

* Let me apologize in advance for all the OOC stuff...

* A friend helped me review the blurb. I love everyone who helps me with my blurbs TvT

Intention: The truth will always come to light one day
