Also known as How Could Childhood Friends Possibly Fall in Love!

Sendoh Akira had always secretly loved his childhood friend, Murasaki Shino.

When he was recruited to Kanagawa, he agonized over it for a long time. He didn't want to leave the girl he loved, but he didn't want to give up a new challenge either. In the end, Sendoh Akira agreed to Coach Taoka's offer to join Ryonan, but he didn't tell Murasaki Shino.

I'll tell her this summer, he thought.

He wanted to tell Murasaki Shino right away, to share these feelings, this uncontrollable love he had for her, in full.

Murasaki Shino loved Sendoh Akira too. They had grown up together.

Akiko Kiyohara, an A-rank player attending Ryonan High School, invited her to transfer after they had once competed together in a karuta tournament. Murasaki Shino didn't know how to bring it up, and in the end she didn't tell Sendoh Akira.

It's our last summer together, she thought.

The breeze leaves no trace, and a touch cannot be held. No matter how hard you try, it's futile to chase after what you can't hold on to.

I'm going to confess to her!

Let's end it here.

A basketball boy who only wants to win at love x a karuta girl who is only timid about love

A game of push and pull at its limit

OOC is inevitable :)

They've been childhood friends since elementary school and probably started liking each other back then, but they both keep hesitating. They're afraid that if their confession is rejected, they won't even be able to stay friends, so they keep pushing and pulling.

They both tend to amuse themselves. Sendoh likes fishing, and Murasaki likes deduction and puzzle games. Murasaki doesn't know much about basketball, and Sendoh isn't very good at karuta, but they always go to watch each other's games and events.

There won't be any “we know each other too well to feel romantic about each other” situation! They'll just use what they know about each other to plan little surprises!
