[Genshin Impact] Fixing Bugs in Teyvat

What's it like to run into someone you know at your new job? Igor: Thanks for asking. It makes me feel like I never quit. After resigning from the Fatui, Igor got a new job: going back in time to fix bugs in the world of Teyvat. To do his work, he traveled to different points in Teyvat's history... only to run into one old acquaintance after another, all wanting him to help with their work. From a young god thousands of years ago to his former boss, who hadn't yet become a Fatui Harbinger, they all offered him jobs. Igor was deeply touched by all these job offers from across time and space, then turned every one of them down. He'd quit in the first place because he didn't want to write work reports. If he accepted another job and had to spend every day writing reports again, wouldn't that make his resignation pointless? Then one day, Igor realized that something seemed off about the world he'd repaired. Why were there novels at those points in time about him rejecting job offers? - Former subordinate: Lord Igor, we found an ancient book in some ruins in Liyue. There's a foreigner in it who turned down the Geo Archon's offer. He sounds a lot like you. Igor: ... Igor: That was me. Igor: And I turned down a job, not the Geo Archon! - The pairing is Zhongli. This story shares its protagonist with "I Want to Quit the Fatui Again Today." The romantic storyline continues from the previous work, but the plot is barely connected to it, so this is a brand-new story. - A preview of my next planned Genshin Impact fanfic: "[Genshin Impact] Transmigrating as an Adeptus and Helping Newbies in Teyvat" Four thousand years after transmigrating to Teyvat, the Liyue Adeptus Xi Rong meets another transmigrator, Alexei, in Mondstadt. When a fellow countryman arrives from Snezhnaya just as he activates the System, Xi Rong's heart starts to stir. Not enough materials to level up? Xi Rong: These are all my belongings from the past four thousand years. Take a look and see what you're missing. Need to fight monsters to get items? Xi Rong: No need to fight them. I know the monsters well. I'll talk to them and have them hand over the items you need. Too many chests on the map to find them all? Xi Rong: Here's a compass for finding chests. I asked Cloud Retainer to make it. Don't have a weapon that suits you? Xi Rong: Take this one. Rex Lapis lost it to me in a bet three thousand years ago. What do you think... What? It boosts defense? No wonder he handed it over so readily! With Xi Rong's reckless efforts to power-level him, Alexei quickly reaches the level cap. His only problem is that he can't roll good Artifact substats. Apart from that, he has nothing to worry about. Alexei is very grateful for Xi Rong's help, so he offers to do something for him in return. Xi Rong says this couldn't be more perfect. Xi Rong: I want you to defeat me. Alexei: ? Xi Rong: Because I'm a boss. - From fellow countryman to husband. His husband works hard to raise him, just so he can defeat him. Theme: Help out wherever you can.
