The First Spirit Pattern Master

[My new novel, The Necromancer Can Heal, is now underway] A forbidden-spell mage transmigrates into the useless fifth prince Cang Cheng of the Blue Star Domain. As soon as he comes of age, he's appointed planetary governor of Sunset Star, a border planet. How is that any different from being exiled to the frontier? "Is the fifth prince going to die on the border planet?" "He's a useless prince. We should be grateful if he doesn't ruin Sunset Star." "I'll bet Sunset Star will have a new governor by next year." Everyone waited and waited, but Sunset Star wasn't ruined by Cang Cheng. In fact, it kept getting better. Everyone on Sunset Star ate expensive interstellar food, used the most advanced photonic computers, and lived in the most comfortable homes. The planet had become just as prosperous as the capital planet. Everyone: Are we dreaming? * To turn Sunset Star into a comfortable nest, Cang Cheng registered as a spirit-pattern artist online to earn money. Before long, a spirit-pattern artist with a peculiar style appeared online: "ANKEN." The spirit patterns other artists sold: acceleration patterns, gravity patterns, flash patterns. The spirit patterns ANKEN sold: wind-blade patterns, flowing-water patterns, summon-skeleton patterns. Wait, why are we fighting a bone dragon? Oh no, a meteorite is falling! Wait, what the heck is that 400-meter-high wave? This isn't how things are supposed to go! After that... "What! You say Sunset Star held back an A-class starbeast tide?" "What! Cang Cheng is the spirit-pattern artist ANKEN?" "Cang Cheng led the Blue Star Domain to victory in the Domain Spirit-Pattern Tournament?" Cang Cheng was very pleased to see Sunset Star growing ever more prosperous. If only that long-tailed fellow would stop wrapping him up in bed every day. Cang Cheng: "Move your tail." Boyfriend: "Didn't you love my tail? Now that you've got it, you're tossing it aside?" Cang Cheng's voice wavered. "Get... get it out of there." Boyfriend: "Since you spent all night feeling my tail, you'll have to pay me back with your daytime!" A forbidden-spell mage who flirts and runs, bottom X a restrained, taciturn mixed-blood general, top 1: A light, feel-good story. Maybe a little over-the-top, with elementary-school-level logic and writing. Theme: Surpass yourself and imagine the future
