After the Infinite-Flow Overlord Returned

[The writing has gotten too difficult, so I’m revising it… I’ll resume daily updates once I’ve saved up 100,000 words! New readers who are interested can check out my completed older work, The Bystander Is Actually the World-Destroying Boss, in my profile] Blurb: My name is Lin Qingchi. I’m a retired player of death games, having cleared countless deadly scenarios. My heart has been tempered until it’s colder than that of someone who’s spent ten years gutting fish at RT-Mart. After I returned to the real world, my fortune-telling grandfather said I had too much blood on my hands. He left me a dollhouse, hoping I’d put down the butcher’s knife and take up the embroidery needle instead. So I took up embroidery. I just don’t know why, but every doll I make seems to come to life. When I’m around, they sit in neat rows, perfectly behaved. The moment I turn my back, they start swaying and wobbling, as if they want to take over the world. One day, I accidentally overheard them talking. “Well, look at that, Hydra. You got dragged here too?” “Headless Corpse? What happened?” “Don’t call me Headless Corpse. I have a head now. Lin Qingchi sewed it on for me.” “No way, the great demon Lin Qingchi? Didn’t he clear the game and leave? And why am I missing a head?” “You can go ask Lin Qingchi about it.” “No chance! What if he chops me into eighteen pieces?” “Then just play your part as a doll. Don’t get yourself killed and drag the rest of us down with you. When Lin Qingchi comes over, don’t move.” “Wouldn’t dream of it.” · Lately, more and more customers have been visiting the dollhouse. They say paranormal phenomena are appearing all over the world and natural disasters are happening one after another, so buying a doll from my shop wards off evil. . One day, even the doll at the very back of my storeroom started moving. It had blood-red eyes and a flawless face. Every inch of its bones and skin had been crafted to suit my tastes. As for what it was for, any adult can figure that out. A doll coming to life should be a good thing. But the thing inhabiting it this time seemed to be someone I knew. “Someone I knew” in the sense that we’d tried to kill each other. “Lin Qingchi, you’ve stolen all my underlings.” The handsome doll’s eyes glowed crimson, its expression dangerous. “You have to take responsibility for me.” Told in third person.
