The Little Mute [From Ancient Times to the Present]

The beloved young prince Wu Cheng of the Nanchu Kingdom died one day. When he opened his eyes again, a thousand years had passed, and he had become the real young master who had been switched at birth. The ruins of the Nanchu Kingdom were discovered eighteen years ago. Experts came from all over to study and excavate them. By a twist of fate, the child of the archaeological team's leader and the child of a local villager were switched. Eighteen years later, the biological parents learned of the switch and hurried to claim their child, but died in a car accident on the way. His adoptive parents resented having raised him for all these years and only wanted their biological son to come home. But after a thousand years of upheaval, Wu Cheng couldn't understand the modern language or read the modern writing. When people accused and shoved him, he instinctively tried to explain, but they thought he was babbling nonsense and pretending to be possessed. They beat him viciously with willow branches, then locked him in a dark basement. One day, he heard a noise outside. After two days without food, Wu Cheng thought his adoptive family had come to scold him again, or perhaps some passing children were about to throw rocks at him. He instinctively shrank back. But then the little basement door opened. In a shaft of light, a man bent down toward him, took his hand, and gently brushed the dirt away. = After the Song family's parents passed away, Song Bojian brought the real young master home to put things right. Fans had heard that this real young master had grown up in a remote mountain village, with five older sisters. He had been spoiled by his family, couldn't read a single character, was mute, and was eccentric and morally corrupt. They'd seen plenty of rumors, true and false, but still couldn't understand why Song Bojian would bring this deadweight home. Amid the gossip, Song Bojian appeared on a variety show as scheduled. The person he held by the hand and kept behind him was the legendary real young master. With long, slender fingers, he took up a brush and effortlessly painted an ink-wash landscape. He played chess with a smile, defeating his opponent in just a few moves. Though frail and delicate, with skin so tender that a cold breeze made his eyes redden and tears fall, he clung to someone else's arm and begged to go outside to build a snowman. His fans passionately rallied behind him: "?! Let him build one!" But they watched as Song Bojian led him back to his room, sat him down at a desk to watch elementary school lessons, and had him learn to write, stroke by stroke, with a pencil. Behind him, Song Bojian took his hand and asked softly, "How do you read this?" Wu Cheng gazed at the pinyin, concentrating. "Huan, 'like.'" "I like you!" The audience: "?! Wait, aren't you mute?!" "Wait, what's going on between you two?!" I'm Drinking Chinese Medicine to Get Better is currently updating! Check it out on the author's page~ Wen Gen was about as ordinary as they come. An ordinary face and family, an ordinary upbringing, an ordinary university, an ordinary job. His life plan was to find an ordinary woman and have an ordinary child. Then, after accidentally scrolling past a suggestive video of a muscular man online, he discovered that his sexual orientation wasn't ordinary at all. He was actually gay, which was not ordinary in the slightest?! After realizing he liked men, he went online and posted to ask how to stop being gay. A netizen named "AAA Heir to a Chinese Medicine Family" enthusiastically suggested: "Try drinking some Chinese medicine to get better." = Wen Gen began drinking three doses of Chinese medicine a day, morning, noon, and night. Halfway through his course of treatment, a new neighbor moved in across the hall. The new neighbor had long, curly hair, a face like spring blossoms, and lips like rosy clouds. Wen Gen heard his own heart pounding wildly. So the Chinese medicine really works! I'm cured! I've fallen in love at first sight with a woman! After years of being single, Wen Gen had just gotten himself treated and didn't dare make a move. He could only turn to the netizen for help, and with their advice, he pursued his new neighbor. It worked beautifully. On the neighbor's birthday, as he ate the cake Wen Gen had given him, he asked if Wen Gen wanted to date him. Overcome with excitement, Wen Gen drank an entire bottle of red wine. The next morning, he woke up and found his neighbor lying beside him. The neighbor was older than him. And he was the suggestive muscular man who had made Wen Gen realize he wasn't straight. = Wen Gen dug out his Chinese medicine, which had been gathering dust. In the morning, he brewed some medicine for himself and gave a bowl to his neighbor, who'd come over for a free meal. He played a loud recording of classic lines like "How homosexuality ruins your life." At noon, he drank a bowl and reminded his neighbor, who was at work, not to forget his medicine. He also forwarded him a treatment plan for homosexuality. In the evening, while brewing medicine to a recording of an anti-gay lecture, he pinched his new neighbor's nose and forced a bowl down him. Late at night... His neighbor, smelling of medicine from head to toe, climbed into his bed. The eight-pack abs beneath his loose robe nearly blinded him. In a deep voice, he asked, "Honey, should we see if the treatment worked?" Wen Gen: "..." Should we give it a try?
