Note: The first three chapters establish some of the story's settings.

Ye Ti transmigrates and becomes a huge tree growing deep in the mountains. As a little fairy who can't identify many plants, Ye Ti has no idea what kind of tree she's become.

But she knows she must have transmigrated into a world of mythology or cultivation. Otherwise, there'd be no explaining why a tree like her could become conscious and, after an encounter with a fortuitous opportunity one day, transform into human form.

Bored after transforming, Ye Ti remembers the warning given to her by the first friend she met after transmigrating: don't wander outside. So she brings some flowers and plants to life and takes them as disciples.

So far, Ye Ti's transmigration has been perfectly ordinary, even uneventful. Whatever the other cultivators are doing when they fight has nothing to do with her.

Ye Ti happily lets her disciples do the work while she lounges in her cozy home, living out her dream of staying indoors.

Until one day, she discovers that her mountain is called Mount Lingtai Fangcun, her dwelling is called the Cave of the Slanting Moon and Three Stars, and her disciples call her Patriarch Bodhi when they're out and about.

Before long, a monkey comes up the mountain to ask to become her disciple.
