20230106

As the only Chaos Demon God to survive the calamity of the world's creation, Hongjun was supposed to follow the destined path: attain sainthood, merge with the Dao, master the laws of heaven and earth, and become Heaven's representative.

But something went wrong along the way. He was on friendly terms with Pangu, the one who created the world, so when Pangu went to split the heavens, Hongjun gave him some Innate Spiritual Treasures and a lotus seed. According to Pangu, it was his daughter.

Hongjun stared at Pangu without a word. In the end, for the sake of the treasures Pangu had given him, he reluctantly accepted the charge.

But you can't walk by a river without getting your shoes wet. After Pangu sacrificed himself to the Dao, Hongjun realized he'd been tricked. The moment he agreed to Pangu's request, a Dao-companion contract had been formed between him and Qingling.

In other words, his life now had one more task: raising his little bride.
