I Only Want to Farm

January 30, 2026

This story will be completed.

Gu Man kept her head down and worked the fields. The abandoned village she had settled in had become a major grain producer, with a complete farming and livestock system and improved crops yielding a thousand catties per mu.

Suddenly, a bright yellow imperial robe was draped over Gu Man's shoulders. She stared blankly at the people before her. The little beggar she had taken in, the senior maid cast out by a wealthy household, the noble scion convicted of a crime, and the others all knelt and cried out:

"Your Majesty is destined by heaven to rule! We humbly invite you to ascend the throne and lead us in building an empire that will last for generations!"

Gu Man: ?

Your Majesty? Me?

No idea. I only know how to farm.

Just like that, Gu Man was thrust into the imperial robes. Looking back, she realized that the fields she had farmed had fed hundreds of thousands of soldiers. The tyrant still on the throne had called her a rebel three years ago and sent troops to crush her.

But word had spread that people here ate three meals a day, each with white rice and meat. The opposing army defected in no time.

Gu Man: I knew it! I work so hard at farming, so why are we always running out of food?

P.S. I read all the comments~ Please leave lots of them, everyone. I love every reader who reads my story. I can keep writing because of you~
