Scene one: A certain male insect lifts his chin slightly and says arrogantly to the female insect prostrate before him, "You're only average-looking. You're not quite good enough to be my primary consort."

The female insect's eyes darken. Then the male insect adds, "Unless you look pretty when you cry."

Scene two: A certain male insect lounges listlessly in a hanging chair. "Love? What's that? My liking for female insects is limited to them looking pretty, and then having their pretty faces ruined."

The female insect's eyes are flushed at the corners, and she pants heavily. The male insect smiles. "Yeah, yeah, just like that. Keep it up!"
