A Letter from the Bottom of the Tomb

#I'll Come Find You at Midnight#

After Su Jiming crawled out from beneath his grave, he began receiving anonymous letters. Every time he opened one, he became the "I" in the letter, caught up in one absurd tale of love and hate after another.

In the first letter, he was Chen Shuping, born in 1958, a schoolteacher whose beloved was Zhao Feng, whom he hated most of all. He never married and died at the age of twenty-four.

In the second letter, he was Song Chengxing, a famous ballet dancer who had won numerous dance awards, until a car accident left her unable to dance again.

In the third letter, he was Bai Xiaozhu, a kind, hardworking university student. But because he was on the chubby side, he was often bullied by everyone. In the end, unable to bear their taunts and mockery, he sank forever to the bottom of a well.

In the fourth letter, he was his best friend, Chu Tianyi, who loved to laugh and joke around, but was abused and beaten by his father whenever no one was looking. He was forever trapped at the age of eighteen...

Once a letter was read, it burned up on its own. Though his heart was full of unresolved resentment, Su Jiming returned to the real world still the same old Su Jiming. Everything was as dull and tedious as before.

But one day, his usually indifferent desk mate stopped him on the way home from school, held up a talisman, and said, "Su Jiming, you're possessed."

Su Jiming had no idea what was going on. He wanted to ask, but when he opened his mouth, a piercing scream came out instead: "Get away!"

Only then did Su Ji realize he was no longer himself.

[Bonus Scene]

The road to the Yellow Springs gets easier the second time around.

Su Jiming stood at the crossroads between yin and yang, waiting for a soul guide. He waited and waited, but no soul guide appeared. Instead, he met an old acquaintance.

Su Jiming waved to the person approaching. "Lin Zheng, over here."

Lin Zheng froze when he heard him, then turned and ran.

Seeing him try to run again, Su Jiming angrily pulled Lin Zheng's birth details from his pocket. "Run, and I'll burn them."

Threatened, Lin Zheng stopped and turned back helplessly. "Are you trying to murder your own husband?"

Su Jiming (uke) X Lin Zheng (seme), one-on-one romance, happy ending.
