Those Years When My Ex and I Were Estranged in Public but Close in Private [Showbiz]

The year Jian Zhou graduated at twenty-two, he filmed a campus drama with Xia Cheng.

In the show, the two played a pair of brothers who had weathered hardships together. But their faces looked so perfect together that the audience shipped them as a couple and became completely obsessed.

After the show, they both returned to their own lives.

One set out to pursue an acting career, working his way up step by step until he became a leading actor. The other went abroad to further his musical education and chase his dream. The two never crossed paths on camera again.

Onlookers joked that only the shippers had ever taken the pair's publicity stunts seriously.

Little did they know, the two really had turned make-believe into reality and been in love.

They had even planned to buy a house together, get a dog, and set up a home theater. Unfortunately, they spent too much time apart, and reality won in the end.

The day Xia Cheng officially left, Jian Zhou took a day off from the set and stayed home in case Xia Cheng needed help.

But Xia Cheng just kept his head down and packed. Only when he reached the door with his suitcase and dog did he remember he hadn't said goodbye to Jian Zhou. Then he spoke in a hoarse voice: "Maybe we should end things here."
