The Paradox of Two Alphas in Love [Infinite]

After an absence of four years, Qi Yang reentered the modified game as an Alpha. The person fighting alongside him was still the same taciturn Xie Cheng.

Qi Yang had completely forgotten that he once said he would differentiate into an Omega for him. He only thought Xie Cheng was an obnoxious Alpha who deserved a beating.

As a result of forgetting that experience, Qi Yang had no idea why the girl in red at the old castle hated him so intensely.

He also had no idea that the fluorescent agent infused into his blood at the Haunted Amusement Park, and his frail body in the other world that could not withstand a vampire's First Embrace, were all traps set for him by the main System.

The person behind the game seemed intent on destroying him here, Qi Yang thought. Watching Xie Cheng secretly shield him from one disaster after another, he fell for him a second time.

Once again, he said he liked him. He said he didn't care that their secondary genders were incompatible and only wanted to be with him. Xie Cheng's answer was a long silence.

Later, he met a mysterious person who came to stir things up. That person showed him a long recording he hadn't seen in ages. Watching Qi Yang's expression change abruptly, they asked, "What? Still want to be with Xie Cheng?"

At last, Qi Yang's memories came back. He remembered his past unreasonable pestering, and the affection he had never honestly managed to put into words. He licked his dry lips and answered, "Of course."

Xie Cheng, voted by the NPCs as the "most cold-blooded and ruthless arbiter," once made an exception for a brat.

He pulled strings to get that person out, and was punished by the main System for it.

Xie Cheng had thought he would never see him again. He never expected to spot Qi Yang's smug, infuriating face on a monitor in the control room four years later.

So the usually unflappable Xie Cheng suddenly couldn't sit still. He merely gave the main System a hasty heads-up before entering the game again as a player.

But he hadn't expected that the little cat he'd once tamed would be all claws and teeth again when they met.

Lowering his eyes, he thought, It doesn't matter if he doesn't remember. As long as I can get him out safely. He never expected that twenty-year-old Qi Yang would be far clingier and more direct than he had been at sixteen.

The kind who could talk about liking and loving someone without blushing.
