Toji had a fleeting affair with a shy, sweet young woman. The next morning, he woke to find the person beside him ice-cold and a pile of ten-thousand-yen bills scattered by the pillow.

What was going on? Toji, feeling as if he'd been tricked body and soul, was baffled. Why was that woman so experienced?

Maybe it's because fate is unpredictable.

After dying horribly and giving up everything, Shiraki Yuki never expected to be reborn with her “cursed” power still intact. She hadn't escaped her family's inherited fate-based technique, “Good Fortune and Misfortune,” which the branch families had spent years trying to kill her for.

In the midst of her confusion and fury, she spent a night with a down-on-his-luck punk with a cut at the corner of his mouth.

She couldn't help it. The punk had a handsome face and an amazing body.

When her boss found out, they scolded her for being soft-hearted. Not only had she paid for the punk's room, she'd even left money for food in case he woke up broke.

Still, the boss cared about how she felt.

Yuki shyly replied, “It felt nice... Yeah, really nice!”

Her boss: “Who asked you about that kind of feeling? Aren't you embarrassed? Stop reliving it!”

She didn't understand why her boss was so angry. Pursuing pleasure was clearly the best way to live.

She'd died once and still couldn't escape her family's inherited technique. Yuki clenched her fist and told her boss, “I've gone dark.”

Her boss: “Listen, nobody announces they're going dark with a completely serious expression.”

But she really did take action. She was just rather pathetic about it. Yuki was good at hiding and running away, and did her best to build a Curse User gang. Aside from keeping her people alive, all she wanted was to become an angel investor for a cult leader and get comprehensive protection in return.

Through a series of coincidences, Toji kept running into her. After several encounters, Yuki grew more and more attached to the man who had witnessed her transformation after being reborn. Against all expectations, a seed of affection began to grow in her heart.

So Shiraki Yuki decided to convince him to go straight.

She really was experienced.

Lately, Toji kept hearing Yuki talk about which street had a down-on-his-luck young man who'd been slashed, or which bar had been shut down for gathering desperate men and women. She knew it all.

He used every bit of self-control he had to keep his anger in check.

“Can you shut up?”

Can you stop talking about other men?

“Otherwise, I'll get really angry.”

Otherwise, I'm afraid I'll turn into one of those Zenin Clan scumbags who keep other people under their thumb.
