The Canary Has Flown the Nest

Lu Li has been going to the same bar lately, hoping to run into the new resident pianist. Her friends tease her, saying she's blatantly attracted to the pianist's looks.

She replies solemnly, "I have no impure thoughts. I just keep feeling like I've seen her in a dream."

Not long after saying she had "no impure thoughts," Lu Li was in a corner of the dance floor, embracing someone cheek to cheek and kissing her nearly breathless.

Jian Siyao held her chin and asked softly, "Is this what you saw in your dream, too?"

Lu Li blushed, her heart racing.

What she didn't say was, what was a kiss compared to that?

In her dreams, the things she did with her were far more unrestrained, far more... indescribable.

*

Lu Li once played the beta version of a dating sim developed by a friend. In the game was an NPC who was exactly her type: a rich girl whose family had fallen on hard times, a canary dragged down to earth by life's hardships.

During that time, she was obsessed with raising the canary's affection every day, until it reached 100% and the canary invited her to spend the night.

That night, she had a hazy erotic dream.

Later, the unfinished game was gradually forgotten, so Lu Li never knew that the canary, after waiting in vain for her to return, had simply left.

[Bonus Scene]

After getting to know Jian Siyao, Lu Li learned that she used to have a terrible ex-girlfriend who slept with her and then ran off, disappearing without a trace.

After hearing this, Lu Li denounced her: "That woman is absolutely awful!"

Jian Siyao gave her a faintly amused look. "Is that so? You think she's awful too?"
