Is There Something Wrong with Being a KP in the Superhero World?

You are a Keeper. Your job is to guide the investigators through the whole scenario and make sure they have fun.

It's not hard, you think smugly.

You're a seasoned KP, and you've learned how to handle all kinds of troublesome players.

Until you open your eyes in Arkham Asylum in Gotham.

Nothing is better than superhero investigators!

Nothing is worse than superhero investigators!

.

Attention, all units: KP, make a Will roll.

Little skit:

Everyone knows that even the most legendary investigator can't beat the dice goddess. If she says you're deaf, dumb, and blind, then that's what you are.

So it's perfectly normal for the Caped Crusader to throw a Batarang and get a critical failure.

It's perfectly normal for Superman to encounter magic and get a critical success on a Will roll.

KP: What does that have to do with me? :)

P.S.

1. The KP has countless NPC secret identities, so this is a secret identity story.

2. This is something I wrote with a friend, taking turns feeding each other lines, so the style may jump around a lot. We wrote it one sentence at a time, and I never knew what bizarre plot would come next.

3. There is no scenario, so anything could happen. We might go completely off the rails.

4. There may be all sorts of strange pairings, or there may not be any. It all depends on how the dice goddess assigns the roles.jpg
