After the great battle, Qi Ye died, and Sect Master Jinguang went mad. The Xuanxin Orthodox Sect was severely weakened, its status and power plummeting. The Xuanyin Demon Sect reopened, demons ran rampant, and the people suffered terribly. The position of Imperial Preceptor was left vacant. But no one knew that Qi Ye had come back to life inside the City of No Tears, where he found the unconscious Sect Master Jinguang and took him away.
The Four Generals of Xuanxin were exhausted from running around, trying to protect their sect from being bullied by other factions, restore its former glory, and safeguard the people. But they were powerless. They hoped to find their former Sect Master, but searched everywhere in vain, with no idea what to do.
Then, when they met the demon Qi Ye again and crossed blades with him, Sect Master Jinguang, who once loathed demons and monsters and had ordered them all killed without mercy, stopped them in a fury.
