Can a Half-Baked Master Exorcise Evil Spirits?

Desperate for money, Chang Chu took advantage of her rare surname to claim a connection to a certain occult master surnamed Chang. She told people she was his unacknowledged but exceptionally skilled youngest daughter, then used the lie to land a lucrative exorcism job at the Xu family mansion.

But as a believer in science, no one had warned her that there would actually be ghosts in the Xu family mansion!

Chang Chu wanted to run, but the temptation of a two-million-yuan reward was too much, so she forced herself to stay.

She had no exorcism skills, only a love of money, so she tried to calmly negotiate with the handsome male ghost. "Um... Could you leave for a little while?"

The long-haired ghost gave her a chilling smile. "This is my home."

Chang Chu nodded, forcing herself to stay calm. "Right. Please leave your home."

As it turned out, Chang Chu's half-baked skills were no match for the evil spirit. She couldn't drive him away and was forced to join his side, spending her days playing ghost and scaring off the unworthy descendants trying to seize the Xu family mansion.

At last, when nobody dared take over the house, Xu Ning told Chang Chu that the property belonged to her, and so did the ghost inside it.

[Bonus scene]

As a ghost pressed down on her, Chang Chu stared nervously at Xu Ning's memorial tablet, just inches away. Curling up, she asked, "Don't you think it's kind of cold?"

Xu Ning leaned in even closer and bit down hard on her shoulder. "No kidding. I'm a ghost."
