The First Blade on the Path to Immortality

Chen Shi transmigrates into a book, becoming a cannon-fodder character who doesn't survive ten chapters.

After transmigrating, he has to deal with an old lady who is the will of Heaven and whose every word comes true, raise a younger brother who is a profoundly eldritch demon, and somehow find time to rewrite his own melodramatic fate in those ten chapters.

In the original story, Chen Shi has a lover named Lu Daoqian, who is blind. On their wedding night, the groom kills Chen Shi without hesitation just after they finish the wedding ceremony.

It turns out that Lu Daoqian is the mortal incarnation of a holy son from beyond the heavens. When the holy son's cultivation hits a bottleneck, he incarnates as a mortal to undergo tribulations in the human world. Once he passes his final tribulation of love, he will achieve complete merit and virtue.

Chen Shi gets it: his role is to be the wife killed so someone can prove their Dao...

When he reaches a pivotal moment in the book and sees the blind young man, tortured and at death's door in a demon temple,

Chen Shi turns and walks away.

Chen Shi thinks he has escaped the plot. But one dark, windy night, the blind young man catches up with him, presses a sword to his throat, and politely, tenderly tells him that it was love at first sight, and that he fell even harder the second time.

Chen Shi bursts into tears: Big shot, why don't you feel those two gaping holes in your face and listen to what you're saying?

Since when can a blind man fall in love at first sight?

Lu Daoqian was cultivating peacefully in the Land of Ten Thousand Blessings when a toad claiming to be a true god fell from the sky and told him that he was destined for a romance. If he severed that bond, he could ascend to immortality.

Lu Daoqian simply stepped over the toad.

Here's an upcoming story I'm working on~

Synopsis:

Qiao Han is seventeen, a hopeless romantic. Even if he only has five yuan in his pocket, he'll borrow one yuan from a classmate to buy Jiang Shuo an egg pancake with extra egg and sausage.

Qiao Han is twenty-seven, and he's gotten over his hopeless romantic streak. Jiang Shuo keeps pestering him every day about marriage and making their relationship official, but Qiao Han brushes him off with one excuse after another: no money, no time.

Jiang Shuo stays calm. In the middle of the night, he sits by Qiao Han's bed under a bright lamp and lovingly draws a marriage certificate for the two of them. It's terribly ugly: Qiao Han's face looks like a pancake that's been squashed flat.

Jiang Shuo calmly asks Qiao Han if he's tired of him.

Qiao Han was just about to fall asleep, but the moment he hears this, he wakes right up. Trying to keep the corners of his mouth from curling up, he says, "If that's how you want to see it, I can't do anything about it. How about we break up? Whoever takes it back is a puppy."

Jiang Shuo can't stay calm anymore. He's about to lose it.

Theme: As long as life goes on, keep striving
