That Child Might Just Be a Genius

No one can be unlucky forever, unless you're Niegui Qianzao.

His memories before the age of fifteen have vanished, his biological parents are nowhere to be found, and the orphanage that took him in mysteriously shut down. He barely made it to seventeen or eighteen, surviving on odd jobs.

*

"Huh? A jujutsu sorcerer? Me?" Niegui Qianzao's eyes trembled, but he clearly understood that this might be his only way out.

"I'll do it! Whatever jujutsu sorcerers do, I'll do my best!"

*

"Wait, wait, wait! Fighting? Against those monsters? No way! I can't do that! --What do you mean that's part of the job?"

Niegui Qianzao squeezed his eyes shut, steeled himself, and charged in with a cursed tool shaped like a kitchen knife. "Aaaaaah!"

That's a kitchen knife, right? It has to be a kitchen knife! Who the hell made a cursed tool look like a kitchen knife? He doesn't look like a jujutsu sorcerer right now. He looks like a butcher at a wet market!

--No, it really is a kitchen knife, because no one would make a cursed tool out of their life's work look like that...

Niegui "The Butcher" Qianzao cut down one little monster after another, killing them until the world was dark with blood. His classmates didn't even have to lift a finger.

"Hey, Suguru." Gojo Satoru stared in amazement and muttered, "That guy might actually be a genius."

*

"Use a knife? I saw the butcher at the meat shop do it like this... Am I doing it wrong? Sorry, sorry, I don't look down on jujutsu sorcerers, I'll study hard! ...I don't need to? This is just fine? Thank you for your approval!"

Niegui Qianzao means "a sacrificial dance offered to the gods in prayer for a good harvest."

In short, Niegui Qianzao is a weak, helpless rookie jujutsu sorcerer who can nevertheless kill, and he seems to have a mysterious past. What could it be...

That's all. Hope you enjoy reading!
