Pathological Tenderness

Wen Fu debuted at twenty. With her face that looked like everyone's first love, she became a hot rising star. Just as her career was taking off, she fell for a free-spirited little singer who sang in a bar. She stepped behind the scenes to become his manager, gradually fading from public view.

Every day, her fans checked in to ask: Has Fufu broken up with him yet?

They hoped she'd return to showbiz soon and rediscover her ambition. But when they saw the unknown singer become a top-tier star, famous everywhere thanks to her support, they could only silently wish them well.

Bai Yanye was incredibly grateful to have met Wen Fu. She stood by him through his hardest days. Just as he was preparing to propose, she smiled and asked to break up.

On the day Wen Fu broke up with him, her fans, silent for five years, excitedly held a massive giveaway. Seeing their girl working hard, they began working around the clock to boost her stats and help her reclaim her place at the top.

But before long, another little singer appeared by her side, just as rebellious as Bai Yanye.

Was this some kind of replacement romance?

Lan Yuze was Wen Fu's biggest fan. Even after she announced her boyfriend, he never stopped posting about her on her fan page. He also went through and blocked every secret shipper he could find. He couldn't understand why Wen Fu liked that utterly useless man. Was it just because of his awful, raspy voice?

The walls of his bedroom were covered with her photos. He obsessively took new pictures, spending an hour each time editing out the man beside her, who was such an eyesore.

When he turned eighteen, he entered the entertainment industry, determined to become his idol's new boyfriend.
