The Demoness Has a Moonlight in Her Heart

Demon Venerable Luyue was infamous, the most hated person among the immortal sects, and they all wanted her dead.

She led her demon generals in an attack on Shangqing, the foremost of the immortal sects. With the sects on the verge of collapse, Luyue set her terms: the cold and stunning Immortal Lord Xueji must be handed over as a hostage.

Everyone assumed she wanted the immortal lord for his looks, but they still sent the man to the demon realm with a fanfare.

Xueji expected Luyue to humiliate him mercilessly, but she treated him with gentle affection. The proud, aloof man eventually fell for her, willing to leave his immortal sect and abandon his cultivation just to stay with her forever. That was until he learned that Luyue had only been kind to him so she could save the man she truly loved.

After she had used him up, she tossed him back to the immortal sect.

A hundred years later, Shangqing led the sects in an attack. The demons were driven back at every turn. With no other choice, the new Demon Venerable resurrected Luyue and offered her to Xueji, begging him to spare them.

Xueji had imagined countless ways to take revenge on her, but Luyue didn't care at all.

The man knelt on the ground, pressing a dagger against the chest of the woman seated on the high-backed chair. He demanded coldly, "Did you ever have even the slightest affection for me?"

"Never."

Xueji refused to believe her. Standing atop the Immortal-Demotion Platform, he silently wondered:

If I die, will she remember me more deeply?

After Luyue was resurrected, she felt that something was very wrong. Rumors spread throughout the world that she was a heartless philanderer who had abandoned everyone from her loyal ministers to the innocent young prince of the fox clan. Even Xueji, the impossibly beautiful immortal of Shangqing, had been used and discarded.

She admitted to the first two, but Xueji had never liked her.

Writing what I want, letting my imagination run wild. I just love seeing the male lead cry, so read at your own risk if that's not your thing.
