After the Honest Woman Lost Her Husband

Hua Surong was gentle by nature. No matter how strange-tempered her patients were, she always greeted them with a faint smile.

As a healer, she married Meng Xing, the foremost swordsman. Their relationship was harmonious during the first year of marriage, and outsiders envied them. Only she knew that she had already grown sick of life with him. Together with the beauty who had sneaked into their sect and seduced her, she killed Meng Xing.

Of course, the truth was exposed. But everyone believed Hua Surong had been bewitched by that fox spirit, so they flayed and dismembered the other woman as a warning. Hua Surong used amnesia as an excuse to leave the sect and live in seclusion somewhere.

Then Meng Xing's disciple came looking for her. Hua Surong thought he had come to avenge his master, but by a twist of fate, she became his cultivation partner.

Yet when she returned to Kunwu with him, Hua Surong saw the husband she had nearly killed.

Meng Xing was still alive.

Fortunately, he had lost his memory.

Meng Xing realized that lately he had been paying far too much attention to the woman his disciple had brought home. Every time she called him Master, his chest gave a faint, aching pang. She even appeared in his dreams at night, in utterly absurd dreams, despite being his disciple's fiancée.

He repressed the thoughts he shouldn't have, until the day his disciple married her. As the wedding witness, he remembered everything.
