The People's Infrastructure-Building Town

[A Stubborn Game Developer on the Brink of Bankruptcy Stirs Up Trouble Online] “Can you really call it copying when it’s game development?” Chuangsi Game Studio had made just three games, and all three had been “imitated.” Soon, it couldn’t even afford to pay its employees and was on the verge of shutting down for good. As the studio’s leader, Zhan Jun stayed silent for a long time before making a phone call. That day, at his lowest point, he clung to an opportunity like a lifeline. Not long afterward, a full-dive interactive game called “Everyone Builds a Town” took the world by storm. At first, netizens scoffed: “What kind of lousy game makes players do virtual manual labor?” But then players planted a row of trees in the game, and an actual grove appeared in the town; players designed an old-fashioned street in the game, and the town began construction overnight, recreating it down to the last detail! Gamers across the internet went wild: “No way! I built a thatched hut in the game yesterday, and when I went to check out the town today, they were really building one?!” “Don’t stop me! I’m going to build the town a cyberpunk amusement park!” With ten million tourists suddenly flooding the town, Cao Xinghang, the official on the other end of that first phone call, scrambled to gather people overnight to build roads and guesthouses. He roared in frustration, “Zhan Jun! Tell the players to build slower! The construction crews in the real world are swinging their shovels till they smoke!” Zhan Jun calmly typed a line of code: “Sorry, the new expansion, ‘City in the Sky,’ goes live tomorrow morning.” # The early development of an AR town and a metaverse full-dive town [★★Coming soon: Please add this to your reading list★★] “Villainous Male Lead” A male lead, no romance, showbiz story about making a name for himself playing villains.
