My Contract Marriage Comes with Meal Deliveries

Guan Yucheng, the youngest-ever winner of the Rubens Award for Comics, was renowned, yet notorious.

“The most arrogant and cold-hearted genius comic artist of all time.”

Amid the media frenzy, 24-year-old Guan Yucheng died of terminal stomach cancer. When the news broke, everyone was filled with regret.

But only Fu Kaiji knew the darkest moments Guan Yucheng had endured.

Fu Kaiji woke up and found himself back when his lover was 19. This time, he would get there first and shelter him beneath his wings.

Guan Yucheng was just an ordinary student in the art department at Jing University when he was suddenly forced into a marriage contract. Instinctively disgusted, he assumed it was yet another exploitative capitalist with a big belly.

When he arrived at the agreed meeting place, Guan Yucheng was prepared to fight to the death.

He never expected his prospective spouse to be elegant and charming, or to have such good taste in restaurants. After making sure Guan Yucheng was full, the man handed him a contract:

[During the term of this agreement, Party B may make any request of Party A. Party A must take the utmost care of Party B’s studies and daily life throughout the agreement, especially his meals. If Party B is ever dissatisfied, the agreement will end immediately.]

Looking at the man’s handsome, composed, and earnest face, Guan Yucheng was thrown into confusion.

This was an outrageous contract.

Since when had capitalists started doing charity?

After the agreement took effect, Fu Kaiji showed up at Jing University right on time every day, bringing breakfast and soup, unfailingly punctual in the morning and evening.

Guan Yucheng felt embarrassed. “You’re so busy. You don’t have to come here yourself.”

Fu Kaiji gazed deeply at Guan Yucheng, who was gradually softening toward him. “It’s my duty to fulfill the agreement.”

Guan Yucheng couldn’t help admiring him. Mr. Fu was truly dedicated to his work.

It was only after the man had slowly devoured him that Guan Yucheng, rubbing his sore legs, his eyes red and his voice hoarse, asked, “Was... yesterday included in the agreement too?”

Fu Kaiji kissed Guan Yucheng’s face inch by inch. “New clause: while the marriage is in effect, both parties must fulfill their marital duties.”

Guan Yucheng’s damp eyes widened in shock. “...So when are we getting divorced?”

Fu Kaiji dangerously squeezed the back of his neck. “Not in this life, the next life, or the life after that.”
