Playing the Final Boss in an Infinite Game

Yan Yu transmigrated into an infinite world.

To her right was a hospital morgue.

They say corpses in morgues have red cords tied around their wrists to ward off evil.

But clearly, red cords didn't work, because the moment Yan Yu took a step, more than a dozen corpse NPCs abruptly sat up, their eyes bloodred and feverish.

The dead had risen.

That was what she thought.

As the corpse NPCs closed in, Yan Yu suddenly remembered the red braided cord around her own wrist, bought for ten yuan at the school dollar store.

So she raised her hand toward the corpse NPCs. "I'm one of you."

The corpse NPCs: "..."

They didn't believe her. "Why is your red cord so flashy?"

Yan Yu kept a straight face. "Because I'm your new boss. Know your place. You think you're good enough to have one just like mine?"

The corpse NPCs understood at once. "So you're the boss!!!"

The survival game The Third Rule arrived. Only three percent of players survived for ten days.

Yet one name had been languishing at the bottom of the points leaderboard for more than two thousand days.

[Yan Yu:

Points: 0

Players defeated: 0%

Days survived: 2857

Players defeated: 99.99%]

The players wanted to know who this Yan Yu was, but no one had ever seen her.

Maybe she was a test account run by the game developers?

That was their guess.

But in truth, everyone had seen Yan Yu.

In every instance.

That pale-faced final boss, always wearing a faint smile, cunning and violent, insatiable in her greed.

Her name was Yan Yu.
