I’m Really Not a Spy!

I transmigrated into the villain faction in a cultivation world and became the Demon Lord’s lackey.

Every one of my coworkers was a ruthless schemer: sinister and cunning, sweet-tongued but treacherous, utterly vicious, and capable of killing without blinking.

Compared to them, I was hopelessly incompetent.

I was ashamed. I was anxious.

I knew I needed to learn from them.

Until one day, I discovered they were all undercover agents.

I’d thought that once they found out I’d discovered their undercover identities, they’d kill me to eliminate the threat. But instead, they all smiled at me.

“I know you’re an undercover agent too.”

“Every time you’re given a mission, you make a mess of it, overcomplicate things, botch the job, and make a complete laughingstock of yourself. You must be doing it on purpose!”

No.

I’m just incompetent.

One day, the beautiful Demon Lord summoned me to his hall.

I was getting ready to report my coworkers when the Demon Lord hurried over and took my hand. “There’s something I have to confess to you.”

His feelings were sincere, and tears shone in his eyes.

“The truth is, I’m an undercover agent from the righteous sects, sent to the demon world.”

“All my subordinates are so fierce and menacing. You can tell at a glance they’re rotten to the core. You’re different. You’re useless at everything, so you must be one of my fellow agents.”

Me: “...”

Is there any hope for this villain faction?

Well, might as well give it a try.
