I Survived the Heavenly Tribulation at School

Jiang Yu is a cultivator in the Tribulation Transcendence stage. By chance, she transmigrates to the modern world and becomes a high school student.

The good news: Her cultivation is intact, and she only needs to endure one more heavenly tribulation to ascend.

The bad news: Her old world is gone. This world reveres science, and has no cultivation, magic, or superpowers.

Jiang Yu can only pretend to be an ordinary student and wait for the tribulation.

At last, the thunder comes.

Jiang Yu climbs onto the school rooftop, ready to greet her moment of ascension, only to discover that there are four others just like her.

Her perpetually slacking, bottom-of-the-class desk mate unfurls a pair of black wings.

The fabulously wealthy heiress raises a magical-girl wand.

The cold, brilliant top student has a faint glimmer of thunder and fire mingling in his palm.

The stern, unpredictable homeroom teacher wears a Monster Management Bureau ID badge on his chest.

As it turns out, this is just an ordinary thunderstorm.

The four bizarre people notice Jiang Yu and turn curiously toward her. "And what are you supposed to be?"

Jiang Yu: "..."

Jiang Yu: "I'm Jiang, a helpful passerby. You weren't planning to jump off the roof, were you? Haha, no worries, bye!"

After countless encounters on the rooftop, the four begin confiding in Jiang Yu, the helpful passerby.

As it turns out...

Her desk mate is the son of the Storm God. He was banished from the Western Fantasy Continent for being too lazy, and every time it thunders, he thinks his divine father is coming to take him home.

The heiress is a magical girl who came to a public high school following the guidance of a spellbook, searching for the true meaning of light hidden in ordinary life.

The top student is an urban superpowered individual who needs to draw power from wind, rain, thunder, and lightning. He can always be seen brooding in the storm whenever the weather turns strange.

The homeroom teacher is a special agent of the Monster Bureau, undercover at the school to catch a powerful thunder-type monster. He has since become a renowned gold-medal physics teacher.

Jiang Yu: "..."

Why are so many people trying to steal her heavenly tribulation!

No, she has to hurry.

So, when the strange phenomenon finally arrives,

Jiang Yu is the first to charge forward, drawing her long-sealed lifebound sword.

The others: "Don't go charging in to die with that cosplay prop!"

Ten seconds later.

The others: "Holy crap! You're a master!"
