When Wuxia Meets Pride and Prejudice

Coming soon: Mother, Your Beauty Is Bewitching (Transmigrate into a Book): Every Man Falls for Her!

(The whole novel is undergoing a major revision. Each chapter will unlock after I've revised it. I'm guilty, so please wait until I'm done before reading!)

At a ball in Netherfield, Bingley falls in love with a beautiful country girl, only to face unanimous disapproval and scorn from his sisters.

Torn, Bingley asks Darcy for advice, expecting to be met with sarcasm and told to leave her alone.

But Darcy gives him a long look and urges him to follow his heart and pursue love bravely.

Those words are not what the sensible, clearheaded Mr. Darcy should have said.

Only later does Bingley learn that his dear Mr. Darcy gave up on love because of one concern after another, watching her disappear across the sea aboard a ship.

Then disaster strikes at sea. His beloved is lost to the ocean forever, and no one will ever know the depths of his regret.

Across time and space, the last successor of the Ancient Tomb Sect enters nineteenth-century England, where two eras and civilizations collide.

To find her way home, Mingyue boards a British merchant ship bound for China. A shipwreck leaves her stranded on a deserted island in the Pacific, where she and a survivor named Robinson begin two years of survival on the island.

After being stranded, Robinson falls into a funk. The only consolation is that a delicate young woman from the East was shipwrecked with him.

But when he thinks of a life in the wilderness with no proper clothes and barely enough food, he falls into a funk again.

And yet...

Day one: The young woman from the East catches a rabbit.

Day two: The young woman from the East catches a pheasant.

Day three: The young woman from the East catches a deer.

Every day on the island, he eats better than he did on the mainland.

Two years later, a passing merchant ship takes them back to England. He has eaten so well that he's gained ten pounds...

Just as he's eagerly preparing to propose to his wild island girl, he never imagines someone else will beat him to it.

He's younger, more handsome, and richer.

Robinson: ... WTF?

Reader's Guide:

1. The story is mainly based on Pride and Prejudice fanfiction. The Robinson Crusoe plot comes later.

2. The male lead is Darcy. The female lead is an original character from the Ancient Tomb Sect in the Jin Yong wuxia universe, with some character traits modeled on Xiaolongnu. This is a self-indulgent passion project, so please be gentle if it's not for you.

3. OOC warning. Updates depend on the rankings, so they're a bit unpredictable!

Theme: Stand on your own two feet and grow stronger.
