I Woke Up and Was Forced to Become a Follower of the Old Ones

It all began with a huge order: a ridiculous number of requirements, meticulous specifications, and bizarre demands about the art style.

If he could do it all again, Su Yan would definitely... probably... well, it seems he'd still take that huge order.

It was worth several million!

But nobody told him that adding just one line of strange, unfamiliar text would open the door to a terrifying world beyond description, beyond sight or hearing, and guaranteed to drain his SAN points!

"D100=1, Luck Check: 1/100 (Critical Success)"

"You have used the summoning words of the great Cthulhu. Thanks to your exceptionally high luck, the sleeping Great Cthulhu hears your summons in its dreams. It briefly awakens in its palace of R'lyeh, casts a glance at its newest follower, and casually marks the follower's scent."

Su "Follower" Yan: "???"

Sorry, didn't mean to bother you.

Notes:

1. Cthulhu Mythos fantasy + some Call of Cthulhu tabletop RPG elements + card and blind-box-style golden finger.

2. Contains a fairly powerful golden finger, otherwise the story would end in total annihilation.

3. The love interest isn't human! [In every sense of the word.]

4. An attempt at cosmic horror. [The blurb may change, but the cosmic horror won't.]

Theme: Strive relentlessly for self-improvement
