The New Emperor Seized the Late Emperor's Consorts for Himself

A younger, possessive-to-the-extreme, obsessive ghost-like little emperor x an older, beautiful and understanding concubine of the late emperor. Coercive romance, son takes his father's "wife," melodrama!

Shen Jiao transmigrates, and things go catastrophically wrong from the start.

The ailing old emperor makes her a concubine, then plans to have her buried with him because she is beautiful and considerate!

Armed with a survival System, Shen Jiao is furious and decides to hurry the new emperor's ascension to the throne.

To help the new emperor secure his position, Shen Jiao pulls out all kinds of reference materials:

"Your Majesty, how about a modern-style militia training manual adapted for ancient times, a barefoot doctor's manual adapted for ancient times, an ancient-style encrypted long-distance communications guide, an essential filing manual for overworked employees, salt-making methods, rapid composting techniques... Want to check them all out?"

As the young prince grows up, becoming more distinguished and powerful, he gains the bearing and composure of an emperor, yet remains gentle and proper toward her. Shen Jiao decides it's time to bow out now that her work is done.

She wants to explore the world beyond the palace and use the System to build a career of her own, so her transmigration won't have been for nothing.

But when she makes this request to the emperor, who has always seemed gentle and upright, his expression suddenly changes.

As a member of the Xin family, Xin Rui often feels awkwardly out of place for being normal, compared with people who disregard the moral order: his father, who carries on with the wives of his ministers, and his fifth brother, who embraces the women in his harem and acts on his feelings without restraint.

Even though he has been obsessive, dark, and scheming since childhood, he still thinks he is the most normal one.

Until he meets that young concubine.

"The peach tree stands in bloom, its blossoms bright and glowing." At that moment, Xin Rui finally understands the Book of Songs.

She is like a peach tree in bloom, like a ray of sunlight, so dazzling and radiant that she makes him feel... possessive.

An emperor taking a minister's wife, a son following in his father's footsteps. His father and brothers taught him this, so what could be wrong with it?

"Elder Sister, you promised you'd take care of me for the rest of my life. It's only been ten years. How can you go back on your word?"

· The male and female leads are not blood relatives.

· The woman is older than the man. Both leads are physically young in the early part of the story, which focuses more on a struggle for the throne and obsession. Their romance and intimate moments begin only after their identities and relationship change later on.

· Some elements are there to serve the plot, so don't pay too much attention to the logic.

· No strong-female-lead elements. Not a pure romance; it has a plot and a System.

· Thanks to A Qing and Bing Jiang for helping me revise the blurb. Waaah! Sending lots of love!
