Shen Ruizhe, who had transmigrated from ancient times, opens and closes his eyes to find himself at the scene of a live burial. He's the one being buried.
There's also a still-fresh corpse beside him.
He immediately kicks the killer away with a rabbit kick and manages to save himself.
But after someone knocked him unconscious with a brutal blow to the head, his body ends up in the hospital while his soul (?) inexplicably becomes a little yellow bird that keeps showing up at crime scenes.
Even stranger, his eyes have mutated. Every time, he sees the criminals with their own built-in underworld filters (?)
The little bird ponders.
The little bird decides to latch onto someone powerful.

Fu Jun gets conned by a cockatiel.
The strange thing is, this little yellow bird seems unusually intelligent.
Thanks to the occasional words the little bird chirps out, he finds a place where a body was buried and also discovers a severely injured man who's unconscious.
The man has long hair and looks like he's cosplaying in historical costume. Yet he has no identification whatsoever, as if he'd suddenly popped out of some remote corner of a deep mountain forest.
No one knows how he was injured or where he came from, and the one person who could answer those questions remains unconscious.
Officer Fu soon has to put the man out of his mind, because after he starts raising the little yellow bird, his world seems to change.
Criminal cases inexplicably multiply.
The culprits miraculously run right into him.
The perpetrators of old unsolved cases gradually come to light.
His colleagues and superiors also start looking at him a little strangely.
…How is he supposed to explain to his colleagues and superiors that he has nothing whatsoever to do with the criminals, and that his bird ancestor just happens to be an innocent bird that keeps wandering into crime scenes?
Fu Jun ponders.jpg
One day, while enjoying petting his bird and working hard to catch criminals, he finds that the bird ancestor, so refined he only eats specially prepared bird food, has suddenly vanished!
Fu Jun feels like the sky is falling.
He searches and searches, but can't find his bird ancestor. At just that moment, a new case crops up, and the same suspicious human keeps appearing at the crime scene.
This case magnet…why is he so much like Fu Jun's bird ancestor?
And his eating habits and little mannerisms, too…
The red-eyed detective, still searching for his bird, grows more and more suspicious the longer he looks.
Wait, doesn't this person look exactly like the man he found at a crime scene, the one who'd been unconscious for over half a year?
And Fu Jun isn't the only one watching him. The relevant authorities are gradually turning their attention his way, too.
Shen Ruizhe, now under scrutiny: “???”
…I really am not a murderer. Scoop-scooper… I mean, Officer Fu, come save your bird!
Relevant authorities: ?
Relevant authorities: “Mr. Shen, would you be interested in joining us and putting your…special abilities to work?”
Shen Ruizhe: “?!”
Shen Ruizhe, who's come to understand this world through his bird body, lets out a little-bird shriek: “Can I sign the contract right now!”
Good heavens! After enduring countless hardships (?) and agonies (?) for over half a year as neither human nor ghost (?), can he finally get a government job again, hundreds of years later?
He can! Please make it a lifetime contract, thanks!!

The little bird isn't really a little chicken. It's an affectionate nickname for the cockatiel (doge).
