Synopsis

After talking it over with my editor, I've decided to start charging for the story on March 1. I'll post ten thousand words that day, so I hope you'll support it! [The full story is complete. Please support the official release. Thank you!] Synopsis: Twelve-year-old Chris timidly asked the staff at a hamburger shop that was about to close, "...Could I have some of the leftover burgers?" The young woman behind the counter glanced at the man standing beside Chris and shook her head regretfully. "Those burgers are all going to be his food." The man beside Chris was quiet and stood about a foot taller than him. He looked menacing. Chris hesitated, then turned to leave, but the man pulled him back inside. Holding several burgers in his arms, he picked out one that was still warm and handed it to Chris. Later, Chris learned that the man was a homeless drifter with no memories, unable to speak, and no known origins. Later still, Chris spent five years with the drifter, relying on each other for survival while he played for Sporting Lisbon. He even gave the fierce-looking drifter a name: Cecil. + After going to England, Chris lost touch with Cecil. He wrote to Lisbon more and more often, but never received a reply. Finally, one day after training, Chris saw Cecil waiting outside the stadium with a backpack. Chris gritted his teeth and asked, "What are you doing here?" Cecil replied, "I heard all the great football stars should have bodyguards, so I came to be yours." Chris gave a cold snort and asked, "What's in your bag?" "All the letters you sent me. I brought every one of them." Cecil's eyes softened, showing a rare tenderness. "Tonight, I can write you a reply to each one." Chris's eyes reddened outside the stadium. + One day, the headline "Little Ronaldo's personal bodyguard turns out to be him" suddenly appeared in the papers. When Chris walked into the training center, Alan solemnly apologized. "I was wrong to treat you badly before. Please don't take it to heart." Chris was bewildered. Ferdinand patted him on the shoulder and handed him the newspaper. "You have a friend this impressive?" Chris took the paper and learned that while Cecil had been away from him, he'd worked as a mercenary, protected the royal family of X, and even rescued hostages from country X?! +++ Younger gong, Little Ronaldo is the gong! +++ Cecil is a cool, aloof man from ancient times who has transmigrated into the modern world, and will probably turn into a doting dad type. +++ Fifteen-year age gap. Cecil's age is frozen at first, then catches up later. +++ Being there for someone is the longest-lasting love confession. +++ Important! Little Little Ronaldo (during his time in Sporting Lisbon's youth academy and first team) takes up a large part of the story! No romance while he's underage, only friendship! Theme: Hard work leads to success
