A gloomy, socially anxious soft girl × a prickly, short-tempered boy
On the first day of school, Huina sends Xia Duchuan an anonymous love letter.
She carefully slips it into his desk, then returns to her seat as if nothing happened.
When Xia Duchuan gets back to the classroom, he frowns, pulls out the pink envelope, and tears it open with an impatient look.
"I like you, I really like you, I like you best."
"I like you more than anyone else in the whole world."
He throws the letter into the trash without a second thought and tugs at his uniform collar.
His voice is irritated. "What is this?"
Xia Duchuan looks up and unexpectedly sees Huina on the verge of tears.
She clutches her pink water bottle, her slender white fingers gripping the lid tightly.
Xia Duchuan pauses. Can't she open her bottle?
He reaches over and takes the bottle from Huina, quickly twists off the lid, and hands it back to her.
Xia Duchuan raises an eyebrow. "No need to thank me."
Huina, on the verge of tears: ?
That evening, Huina sends Xia Duchuan a hundred harassing text messages.
"If you don't like me, go die."
-
A scorching summer day.
Huina leaves the convenience store after buying ice cream, her eyes fixed on her phone screen.
She types a message intently, not noticing Xia Duchuan walking toward her.
"I like you best. I like you hopelessly."
"I love everything about you."
Huina accidentally bumps into a very hard chest.
Her ice cream drops to the ground. She covers her nose and looks up.
Notification sounds keep ringing.
Xia Duchuan's slightly annoyed expression comes into view.
Xia Duchuan lowers his eyes to Huina's phone screen and stares at it.
A minute later, he awkwardly looks away.
"Are you the one who's been sending me all those confession texts?"
Huina: Oh no, he found out I have a crush on him. What do I do?
