After I Descended to Face My Trial, My Nemesis Fell for Me

After years as an intern in the immortal realm, Jiang Huan finally got the chance to become a full-fledged immortal.

A High God told him he first had to descend to the mortal world and undergo a few trials to prove his Daoist resolve.

He nodded eagerly. Descending to face a few trials? His resolve was rock-solid. No big deal.

But once he reached the mortal world, Jiang Huan went mad. Why were the trials nothing like what he'd been promised? This was a nightmare!

Yin Buke was a carefree little immortal in the immortal realm, with an otherworldly air about him.

When he heard Jiang Huan was going down to face his trials, he raised a brow and said,

"How could I not lend my junior brother a hand as he descends to undergo his trials?"

Chaos ensued.

His sworn enemy had volunteered to help.

There was no way he had good intentions!

Jiang Huan cursed, "Who are you calling your junior brother?"

Yin Buke calmly retorted, "Whoever's cultivated for years without becoming an immortal. That's who my junior brother is."

Jiang Huan: "If you've got nothing better to do, go torment your flowers and plants. Why descend to the mortal world and ask for trouble?"

Yin Buke: "How could helping my junior brother become an immortal be asking for trouble?"

When the time is right, hardship gives way to joy.

One whim from Yin Buke, and Jiang Huan's fate changed once more.

Jiang Huan: Forget the trials. I'll kill this bastard first!

Yin Buke: Reality is brutal. Your wishful thinking is beautiful.

Jiang Huan: ...Stop talking and tend to the blood pouring out of you.

In dreams, I forget I am but a guest, and lose myself in a fleeting night of pleasure.

A story about sworn enemies bickering until they end up in bed together.
