My Ghost Boyfriend Wants to Eat My Heart

The award-winning actress Ling Zhiji has a secret.

Ever since joining a dating show, her soul leaves her body every night after midnight.

And then she sees a side of her boyfriend that no one is supposed to know about.

At first, Ling Zhiji planned to break up with her boyfriend after the dating show ended.

Their relationship wasn't good, and she was tired of him.

Her boyfriend was a star too, but even if it meant turning down his own work, he followed Ling Zhiji everywhere day after day, clinging to her.

Like a deranged lunatic.

Over the three years they'd been together, his reputation had become atrocious. He'd fallen from being a top-tier star to a nobody, and everyone called him a lovesick, submissive boyfriend.

Ling Zhiji's patience had reached its limit.

Ling Zhiji had thought her boyfriend loved her desperately and was so humble he would grovel at her feet.

Until the first night her soul left her body, when she saw him climb out of bed.

Then,

he smiled as he dug out her heart.

The boy kissed the heart, still beating even outside her body, with a look of rapture. In a soft voice, he said, "Don't be afraid, big sister. Soon you'll ripen, and I'll eat you."

After licking it to his heart's content, he put her heart back.

Only then did Ling Zhiji learn that Qi Zhong was a ghost who fed on hearts whose love had been worn away: a painted-skin demon.

The less she loved him, the more delicious her heart became to him.

And the closer Ling Zhiji came to her real death.

Ling Zhiji: ...

Director, is there still time to save me?

She wanted to live.

She would find a way.

To love a ghost.
