The parallel-universe version of this novel is being updated next door... If you're interested, go check it out. It's longer than this one, but the whole thing is already written.
Romantic, warm, passionate professor gong x rational, restrained, aloof (yeah, right) writer shou
Chao Yi's perspective:
Fresh off a breakup, Chao Yi spent every day wondering how long love was supposed to last.
Before he could figure it out, a ticket to a lecture landed in his hands.
The lecture was a fiasco, and Chao Yi cursed Xie Shuqiu for being blind. Then, as fate would have it, just a few hours later, the blind guy snatched the last of Chao Yi's crushed peanuts.
The stingy guy shared half a packet with him and asked, "Can I get your WeChat?"
Chao Yi: "I don't want your WeChat. I want you."
And so a 35-year-old man being pressured to marry and a 30-year-old man in his prime (as Chao Yi insisted on describing himself), fresh off a breakup and being harassed by his ex, got married by agreement.
A fake marriage is better than a real one. Xie Shuqiu made sure to give him all the proper ceremonies and courtesies, behaving impeccably at every turn, yet asking Chao Yi directly, openly, and sincerely:
"Honey, can I pursue you?"
Xie Shuqiu's perspective:
At the lecture, Xie Shuqiu spotted someone so good-looking that he was willing to be taken for a blind man just to cause a scene. And after the mix-up, he deliberately stole the crushed peanuts the guy wanted a few hours later.
All he wanted was a WeChat contact so he could take things step by step and win him over. He hadn't expected a call pressuring the guy to get married to awaken his conscience. What should I do when the person I'm trying to win over asks to marry me first?
Answer: Say yes!
After the wedding, Xie Shuqiu took advantage of being close at hand and was more straightforward than a shaved-ice stall, grabbing the man and asking:
"Can I pursue you?"
One-on-one; happy ending; same-sex marriage is legal; sweet, everyday romance
Content warning: Both leads have exes. The gong is inexperienced; the shou is not.

Blurb for Love at First Blind Date with the Hottest Guy in the Top Circle:
[Flirtatious Gong; Sweet from Start to Finish]
A doctor who seems abstinent but is secretly a flirtatious introvert gong x a bartender who seems like a playboy but is actually a romantic shou
1
Tan Su is the undisputed king of the Zhi bar and its hidden owner, hailed as the "hottest guy in the top circle." Despite his abstinent-looking face, even at a gay bar he only drinks. He never hooks up, flirts, or plays around. It's as if nothing in the bar besides the alcohol can catch his eye, and everyone who approaches him gets turned away.
Until one day, a new bartender starts working at the bar.
The bartender has a cup of milk tattooed on a pair of impressively muscular arms. Two bandages and three rings adorn his fingers, making him look like a display cabinet of assorted goods as he shakes up drinks in a dazzling blur.
He shakes with a smile tugging at his lips, though it never reaches his eyes. There's a hint of nonchalance about him.
At a glance, Tan Su could tell the man had an impacted wisdom tooth. He'd be in the hospital within three days, for sure.
But instead of going to the hospital, the man showed up at Tan Su's little clinic.

Tan Su said calmly, "Give me your WeChat so I can follow up on your treatment."
The more casually he said it, the more intently Tan Su's gaze lingered on the tattoo on the man's arm.
Liang An raised an eyebrow. He took out his phone and brought up his QR code with one hand, then used the other to tug at Tan Su's lab coat. Leaning in close, he said with a laugh, "Doctor Tan, your clothes are a little disheveled."
Tan Su followed his gaze and saw the nipple piercing poking out from his chest.
3
In Liang An's dreams, there was a pair of calm, indifferent eyes. He had been thinking about them for ten years, until Tan Su stood before him.
Ten years ago, Tan Su met someone who carried himself with an easygoing air, as if nothing could get in the way of his life. He seemed equally at ease going in any direction. Tan Su had thought about him for ten years, until Liang An stood before him.
Liang An: He definitely doesn't remember me. I should go after him.
Tan Su: He definitely doesn't remember me. I should try to reel him in.
Mutual pining; marriage first, love later; both leads are sexually inexperienced; pure sweetness, no angst
Theme: Take each step in life well. Stay humble, calm, and persistent, and something wonderful will happen around the next turn.
This is my second time reading, but I am still shocked by some profound words and opinions. The clarification of these topics about life, love, etc. Is really on my point. It is really great.
Thanks Shuqiu, you! Good luck (distorted) (screaming) (hysterical)
Please give the "Arbor" next door a try ~ thank you all!
This is my second brush. I just discovered that there are people who only care about Shuang Jie and don't mind having an ex-boyfriend. (Although I don't understand why)
Yes, yes, I don't understand why heterosexuals must be called homosexuals. It doesn't mean that you have to be called wife if you are at the bottom, but you can also be called wife if you are at the top. You can even call each other wife and husband, which feels like a bit of a fixed mindset.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha laugh very loudly
It's over! Love this short story so much!
The parallel time and space version of this article has been updated next door. If you are interested, you can take a look ~
Woohoo~ The general point of view is the same as mine. I think it's okay to joke about calling your wife occasionally. However, I think not everyone should be called the wife who attacks the wife. The wife can also be called the wife who attacks. No one is inferior to anyone else. Everyone is the same. Why should we have a fixed mindset?
The main article is finished~ There will be a few extra chapters~ Thank you for your likes^o^ Please give me a pre-order for "I Am Your Kind"~
