Transmigrate into a Book and Read Women's Faces

Original title: I Started a Women's Mutual Aid Society Through Embroidery in Ancient Times

Blurb:

Wen Youzhi, who spends night after night researching embroidery, transmigrates into The Haughty Princess's Tale as a sickly, doomed side character. From the start, she's forced into a political marriage, and she'll die as soon as she gets married.

Without a second thought, Wen Youzhi makes a run for it. She climbs over walls and wades through water, even stopping along the way to save a young woman who was about to take her own life.

To survive, Wen Youzhi has no choice but to return to her old trade. She embroiders veils, handkerchiefs, and wedding dresses, creating hundreds of fresh, exquisite designs with nothing but a single embroidery needle.

Then she happens to save a jade-like young woman who was about to be sold.

As Wen Youzhi's reputation as the foremost embroiderer spreads across the land, she saves more and more women: women abused by drunken husbands, women treated as childbearing machines by families who favor sons, women harassed on the street...

These women ask pitifully, "Why save me? I can't do anything!"

Wen Youzhi calls each one "Sister" and smiles warmly. "I can embroider. I'll teach you. We can survive. We can all make it."

The embroidery workshops grow larger, and their numbers swell. Inside are women who have lost their families and their livelihoods. Outside are women, each more skilled at embroidery than the last, all capable of standing on their own and making a living through their craft!

An embroiderer asks, "What do we do when there's no more room for people?"

Wen Youzhi's eyes light up. "A chain of stores! I mean, a chain of embroidery workshops!"

Another embroiderer asks, "Where will we find managers for all these shops?"

Wen Youzhi rolls her eyes. "What? Can't women be managers?"

Yet another asks, "What if someone comes looking for trouble? We can't beat them!"

The Crown Prince suddenly appears. "I'll help you beat them back!"
