The fairy-tale world is on the verge of destruction, all because witches are scarce and hard to hire, even with high salaries. Without villains to drive them forward, the stories of princes and princesses can barely progress.
To address this, the High-Dimensional Witches' Council conducted a study and produced a Report on the Loss of Witch Talent in the Fairy-Tale World:
1. Stories about princes and princesses tend to make witches switch careers and become princesses.
2. After switching careers, witches settle down, raise children, and never switch back.
3. Witches lack positive public images, are poorly paid, and face high risks.
4. There is no formal education system, studying is difficult, and the tradition is at risk of being lost.
To solve these problems, the High-Dimensional Witches' Council sent an elite witch, Yalviete, from the modern world to establish an academy in the fairy-tale world.
After arriving, Yalviete turned the empty Dark Forest into a bountiful estate, used her architectural magic to build a bright and airy castle, invented an automatic printing press to print textbooks and flyers, and used long-distance broadcast technology to shout outside every store in the human realm:
"Come on over and take a look! Get a free egg with every flyer!"
The crowd: ???
The power of free eggs is terrifying, no matter what world you take it to! After a sustained advertising campaign, the Witch Academy received five thousand applications in three months, including six "oddities" who wanted to switch careers from princesses back to witches.
However, on the day of the opening ceremony, all six princesses were absent. The top student who was supposed to register that day was nowhere to be seen, either.
Yalviete: What a thoroughly satisfying case of getting stood up. Let's see what's going on. Everyone can contribute money or effort. No matter what's in short supply, we can't let education suffer.
And so she found the original Sleeping Beauty. Drugged in her sleep, bearing two children in three years, and married because of an out-of-wedlock pregnancy, the princess woke up with nowhere left to turn. She sent a letter begging for help to the fabled witch of the Dark Forest:
"Even if you're a witch... please take me away from here."
That night, an unwelcome guest descended upon a wedding filled with flowers and well-wishers: an army of a hundred thousand skeletons. A gigantic black dragon raised its head and roared. A colossal sword soared into the sky. The bird-bodied Sirens sang the praises of blood and fire, and the hellhound snapped at anyone within reach.
Amid the chaos, a blue-eyed, blonde witch descended from the sky, her voice calm and unwavering:
"Give my student back to me."
Wisdom will lead you in the way of the good and keep you on the paths of the righteous.
Core message: It's time to catch some human traffickers in the fairy-tale world. I've been relentlessly catching human traffickers for three books now. I'm exhausted. I'd like some lovely new readers, please. (Joins hands reverently)
