I Only Found Out It Was a Dating Sim After I Took the Throne

In the second half of the twenty-first century, VR gaming pods had become commonplace in households everywhere.

Seasoned gamer Zhu Xueyi bought a large-scale game advertised as “rewriting history.” In just ten days, she beat a game that a hundred-person team had spent five years making, then politely commented that it was too easy and had no challenge.

Then she woke up inside the game, along with a furious roar from the development team:

Why did you ascend the throne and become empress?! This is a romance game!

Zhu Xueyi was too lazy to read any of the story, so she threw herself into building up the realm, recruiting talent, strengthening the army and the nation, executing traitors, and launching reforms and revolutions, successfully ascending the throne time and time again: ...???

#I only found out it was a romance game after ascending the throne, but I'd already killed the emperor, the male lead

#A hard-won lesson: don't skip any story, and don't skip the game title either

#The arrows in my back aren't flags. They're one-sided crushes from the side characters whose stories I skipped

Theme: Build a strong nation, and never forget your original purpose.
