After the Little Fox Was Caught as Emergency Rations

Advance notice: This novel will go VIP on Wednesday, April 10. There will be three updates that day. Please continue to support it.

Winter was bitterly cold, and food was scarce.

In her third year since arriving in the world of beastfolk, Ye Tongtong was captured by the Tiger Tribe because she couldn't transform.

As a little fox cub and emergency rations,

she was tossed in among the tiger cubs, a group of kitten-like little tigers, to let them practice biting and hunting prey.

Ye Tongtong: I can do this!

The Tiger Tribe was busy storing food. Every day, they checked on the cubs, then hurried back out to hunt.

To stay alive, Ye Tongtong had no choice but to give up the food she'd painstakingly saved. The cubs looked too cute, and she couldn't help feeding them.

At last, the adult beastfolk came back from their busy work and took one look. "Where did this batch of piglets in fur coats come from?"

The cubs, now twice their original size: "Roar?"

The adult beastfolk: "...What?"

Hiding behind the tiger-piglets, Ye Tongtong lifted her chin and smiled silently, her contribution hidden from sight.

My next novel is now out: This Dog Takes Its Job Too Seriously

In an age when Hosts lounge around and do nothing, Ye Dongbei, a canine beastfolk, is a rare model Host.

Diligent and conscientious, she completes every task assigned by the System with two hundred percent effort.

System: "Adopt the pitiful, strong, doomed cat-clan cub."

After assigning the task, the System went to another Host and earnestly tried to persuade them to complete theirs.

Ye Dongbei thought it over. The doomed child was only six months old and still had both parents, so she snuck into his home for half a month, gathered evidence of their crimes, and got his whole family expelled from the tribe. That way, she could successfully adopt the "orphaned" doomed child.

The System returned three months later. "Aaaah! I meant for you to wait until that family abandoned the doomed child, then pick him up and adopt him! Aaaah!"

Ye Dongbei only cared about the task. "Is the task complete?"

The System burst into tears. "...It's complete."

Ye Dongbei was confused. "Then why are you crying?"

The System: "..."

The plot's gone off the rails!
