Orchid Pavilion

A snowy year promises a bountiful harvest; the fated star returns to its place.

The royal family of the Li Kingdom is torn by infighting, and another struggle for power begins.

Rumor has it that outside the capital stands a mysterious academy, the Lingling Academy.

Within it is a military tally passed down from the previous dynasty, coveted by many.

The tally has been handed down from generation to generation, but this time it has fallen into the hands of a frail scholar who has failed the imperial examinations three times.

The scholar, once mocked by everyone, suddenly becomes the apple of the powerful's eye. Some try to persuade him with kind words, some resort to threats, and one even abducts both him and the tally and takes them back to his manor.

Everyone is astonished, unaware that in this game of chess played on the board of the world, no one is ever a fixed piece.

From the moment Lanting steps alone into Shengjing, every step that follows, the plague in Yizhou, punishing corrupt officials, Miaojiang gu insects, the Medicine Valley closing its gates, seems passive, but the direction of the game has long been under control.

It's a pity that no matter how lofty one's destiny, it can never withstand the fickleness of the human heart.

Fortunately, when he looks back again, he is no longer alone.

Mu Suiqian: They treat you well, but it's all fake. Only I am sincere.

He cries out for freedom in the beginning, and for his beloved in the end. He has the fate of an emperor and the heart of a knight.

If it was destined, then it wasn't a calamity. I spent all my luck, through countless ordinary, lonely days, praying endlessly to the heavens for only one thing: the chance to meet you again.
