The Extra-Large NPC Directory

Lin Zhi was an ordinary office worker, living an unremarkable life. Just before she dropped dead from overwork, she suddenly heard a voice from beyond the heavens.

"Hey! You overworked employee on the verge of dropping dead! I can tell at a glance that you have remarkable bones. Your mature, gentle, slightly scatterbrained big-sister vibe is totally my type! How about making a pact with me, becoming a Super-Sized NPC, and starting an exciting new life? Become the darling of players and game protagonists alike!"

Lin Zhi: Huh? Me?

Super-Sized NPC System: That's right!

And so Lin Zhi became the character with the closest ties to the protagonists in all kinds of video games.

For example, she might be the sister, wife, or mother of a horror-game protagonist, playing a crucial role in setting the protagonist's story in motion. Or she might be an upgradeable weapon, a flying dragon, or a mission-guidance AI for an action-game protagonist, their most dependable support. Or she might be the protagonist's super-powerful starship in a sci-fi game, an absolutely indispensable force in battle.

Just when Lin Zhi thinks she has seen enough to be unflappable, some ending route always manages to shock her. Who would have thought a protagonist could have an ending route where he marries his weapon, flying dragon, AI, or starship? Some even come with lavish, beautifully rendered CG animation!

Lin Zhi: Given that this NPC doesn't even have a human form, the [game development team] that made this route and the players who unlocked this ending have some seriously strange tastes!

Game protagonist: My ribs, my soul, my pillar, everything wonderful in my life. What are you talking about?

Player: This NPC's character and story are both peak! Confirmed: Super! Big! Cup! I love it so much! This old monk will gladly accept!

[Before You Read]:

1. Each game world and its protagonist are independent. Worlds where their relationship is familial have no romantic pairing.

2. This is a pure BG story, so all game protagonists are male and have top-tier character designs. There are masked characters and canned characters.

3. The System has very little presence and basically only appears at the beginning and end of each world.

4. The blurb may be expanded or revised according to the author's ideas before regular updates begin.
