But even more than them, the person who got an egg as a cheat ability wants to speak up. The famous high school detective from Kanto had always thought his childhood friend's father was a pretty unreliable parent. His childhood friend was the one who ran the household, while the man spent all the money he got on horse racing and alcohol. He had no self-control and wasn't too bright, so becoming a detective would surely mean losing money. Fortunately, the family could get by on rental income. That was until one day, when the famous detective took his childhood friend to America and they encountered a serial killer. His friend was left deathly pale with fright. So the next morning, he saw his friend's dad, wielding a katana and looking righteous as could be, chasing the murderer for two whole blocks and hacking at him. The high school detective, whose relationship with his childhood friend was more than friendship but not quite love, immediately felt a chill run down his spine. He could almost feel his neck go cold. Fathers, a wondrous species that can appear out of nowhere the moment their daughter cries and beat up every living thing within five meters of her. The childhood friend's dad, the guardian character responsible for all this: Let me do it for you! The owners of guardian characters began appearing one after another and gathering together. The guardians, drawn to one another, slowly converged, and the arrival of the final guardian revealed the reason behind the world's abnormalities. The world-famous mystery novelist got all the details and backstory in order, then explained it all in turn: The world was facing a massive calamity. Hideous, unwanted eggs that ordinary people couldn't see were growing in the dark. They fed on the positive emotions in people's hearts and children's dreams, planting seeds of negativity in people's minds. Once hatched, the monsters born from these eggs would cause immeasurable harm to the world. Those chosen by guardian characters, able to transform alongside them and gain superhuman combat abilities, were the natural enemies of these invaders. The seven guardians have finally assembled. They will fight to protect the world! Transform! The Will of the Greater World: Is it really appropriate for this totally unscientific setup to exist in my world?! But sometimes you have to bend to get what you want! Seven guardians, transform and make your debut right away! Don't worry! Everyone knows that even if you only change your clothes and hairstyle, people will see you as a completely different person. My heart is with you! Your heart! Unlock! The guardians fell silent for a moment Six guardians, all of them adults for years: My heart! Unlock! The detective, one year shy of adulthood, still an elementary schooler: Have you all gotten this good at it already?! [Before you read]: 1. This story keeps jumping back and forth between goofy comedy and serious moments. The author loves references and jokes. I don't accept writing advice, but heckling is welcome [cheerfully crawling] [healthily splitting apart] [blasting readers into the sun]. 2. There aren't many big set pieces. Everything serves the chaotic, hilarious daily lives of the guardians. You can tell from the blurb just how outrageous the premise is. 3. The original characters belong to everyone. The joyful OOC is mine. There are plenty of personal interpretations. 4. The guardian characters come from the original cast of The Literary Organization. This is a relay story w. 5. Because of their experiences, living environments, and relationships, the guardians differ from their original-character counterparts in ways including their jobs and interests. In other words, this story takes a big leap off the deep end. Theme: Let the person you aspire to be live forever in your heart
