Thirteen interstellar war-criminal players who had enjoyed ten years of fighting together spotted an advertisement for From Scratch: City Building while taking a break. The game's plain, simple gameplay immediately caught their interest. They were successfully persuaded to try it together.
The thirteen players logged into From Scratch: City Building at top speed, eager to get started. Each randomly chose an identity, made a few quick adjustments to suit their preferences, and appeared in the new game world in a flash of light.
Thirteen players, each radiating spiritual power like a little sun, gathered together to become one giant sun, so blindingly bright that anyone who saw them was literally struck blind.
You start with one mountain and nothing else. But luxurious cities, appearances, weapons, pet food... You can get all of it for free, as long as you gather the materials!
Life is so easy! That was what the players thought, until they hit a wall because they needed a highly versatile material that only dropped from Time Retrograde Inspectors.
As if a few measly Time Retrograde Inspectors could stand a chance against players on the extra-large setting! The problem was that after the first few days, the players encountered them so rarely it was outrageous.
Where were the Time Retrograde Inspectors? Where had they all gone?!
The players, who had slaughtered their way through historical battlefields, couldn't find a single trace of their target, even after practically moving onto the battlefield. If the mountain wouldn't come to them, then they'd go to the mountain!
The players had plenty of energy and plenty of tricks up their sleeves!
[Saniwa Forum]
[Saniwa A183]: Good news, they aren't kidnapping swords today!
[Saniwa A183]: Bad news, they've started kidnapping saniwa.
[Saniwa B3048]: Why are they kidnapping historical figures, too?!
[Saniwa C5932]: Can anyone save me? I'm tied up with Oda Nobunaga, and they're holding a sword to our necks to make the Time Retrograde Inspectors come out QAQ
[Saniwa A183]: ...There's no saving you. Start over.
The sword warriors of the saniwa who got kidnapped because their luck was so awful they ran into an inspector at every turn: Aaaaaaah, don't hurt our aruji! We'll lure the Time Retrograde Inspectors out even if it costs us our lives, sob sob sob sob sob!
They say that on the battlefield in the spacetime where the fighting between the Time Government and the Time Retrievers is fiercest, there stands a city like a sacred land of the sun. A huge barrier tree grows there, unlike those found in other honmaru. Anyone who can approach it, provided they bring sunglasses, might occasionally see one or more "wind chimes" swaying from its towering golden branches. That's why people call it Wind Chime City.
Player 2, who was hung up in a tree by Player 1 for being too much of a troublemaker and is now swaying in the wind like a chime: Awooo! Boss! I'm sorry! I won't do it again!
Player 3: I suggest singing "The Moon Represents My Heart" to apologize to the boss.
Player 4: Better yet, howl and launch right into Maroon 5's "Animals." The boss will surely feel your love and forgive you.
Player 5: +1
Player 1, whose rope-trapping skills are MAX: You lot go one day without being hung up and you start tearing the roof off!
[Before You Read]
1. Before regular updates begin, the blurb may be adjusted and revised whenever inspiration strikes. Please bear with me.
2. This is a Fourth Calamity novel. The players will use all sorts of methods to build their city. The tone is lighthearted and freewheeling. The only ones who actually get hurt are enemy units that drop materials.
3. The players' character models are based on the sword warrior identities they randomly rolled, but they chose the human race. Therefore, their final identities are human saniwa with the appearance of sword warriors.
4. The players' genders are whatever the players choose.
Theme: Friendship is magic.
