The Priest's Journal

You are the priest of a small town, and every day you listen to the stories locked away in the church's black confessional.

You thought your whole life would be spent working diligently for a meager salary.

That is, until the world fell into chaos and your notebook mutated. Written on its cover was:

The Priest's Log

Townsperson: Waaah, I'm so hungry. I want tonkotsu ramen with a red sausage roasted and coated in chili powder.

In the log, you found the number of an interdimensional delivery worker.

Townsperson: I heard something happened outside again. I'm so scared. The whole town is covered in fog.

In the log, you found a way to dispel the fog.

Townsperson: There's always ghostly wailing in the yard next door.

In the log, you learned how to spay and neuter cats.

Townsperson: The family across the street argues every day. I haven't slept in three days.

In the log, you learned how to make sleeping pills.

Townsperson: They're beating the kid upstairs again. I don't think it's their own child.

In the log, you read a melodramatic story about a wealthy family.

The System bound itself to Long Yuansheng, who then learned that:

He was living in the manga Sin City, which had been abandoned before its ending.

This was a free world. Mages hid in its streets and alleys, monsters roamed in every direction, factories spewed pollution, and beggars and machines were the two most common forms of life.

System: Long ago, this city flourished.

[Please have the savior restore order]

Long Yuansheng accepted the task:

He would correct the world as a manga character.

Forum:

[The gloomy, decadent boss of this street is a cold-faced, warm-hearted tsundere with a strange secret.]

[I didn't expect him to be a rich young master too. That's a standard trait for the protagonist's friends, so he definitely won't die.]

[He died.]

[I take it back. Now that he's dead, it's even easier to drag him out and flog him over and over. Everyone looks like him now. I'm sobbing.]

[How interesting. It hates everyone and the whole world, but it doesn't hate hope.]
